CGR Supports Child Advocacy Center with Data Analysis

The Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester has been providing services for over 20 years, supporting children and families, working to prevent child abuse and neglect, and helping to provide education, healing and intervention on behalf of children. There are approximately 1,000 Child Advocacy Centers across the country. The CAC of Greater Rochester provides intervention services primarily in Monroe County, and the CAC Prevention Education programming covers Monroe and surrounding counties.
CGR assisted the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of Greater Rochester with its reaccreditation process (by the National Children’s Alliance) through data collection and analysis to inform a community needs assessment for the populations that the CAC serves.
CGR collected and analyzed data on community demographics and CAC client demographics and conducted a comparative analysis between these two groups. In addition to fulfilling the requirement for reaccreditation, this needs assessment will be helpful in informing goals and strategies to ensure that the CAC can continue to deliver high-quality, relevant, and accessible services to all children and families in need in the organization’s service area.
