A New Program for Expecting Mothers in Monroe County

CGR is working with Healthy Baby Network and Monroe County on the launch of The Nest Program, a new collaborative initiative between Healthy Baby Network and The Bridge Project, funded by the Monroe County Division of Social Services and the City of Rochester. The program is accepting applications now – see https://www.healthy-baby.net/ for more information and the link to apply.
The Nest Program is designed to uplift and empower income-eligible expectant mothers in Monroe County’s 14605, 14608, 14611, and 14621 zip codes by offering compassionate, impactful, and personalized support during pregnancy and early parenting. Through this initiative, participants receive referrals for prenatal care, guidance on goal setting, peer support, and case management tailored to their unique needs.
To help families pursue their goals and build stability, eligible participants also receive $1,000 per month for up to two years.
CGR is working with the partners on this and other aspects of Monroe County’s Project Prosper, which provides $25 million in funding to boost upward mobility among low-income residents in the targeted zip codes. Our role is providing administrative and measurement support.
