Public Survey

A link to a public survey was distributed through the DPW's text notification system and with notices included in utility bills sent to customers. The survey received 380 responses.

  • The survey of the public shows a very high level of public satisfaction with DPW services across the board:
    • More than 90% of respondents give the DPW as a whole a positive rating.
    • Nearly 40% give it a 10/10 rating.
  • Every individual department has a positive rating above 80%.
    • Negative ratings for all departments are in the single digits (the balance of ratings are "neutral").
  • These positive ratings are consistent across all subgroups, including across years of age, across years as a customer, and across customer status — including area residents, workers, and business owners/leaders of local organizations.
  • The limited number of negative complaints focus on variations in water quality, drainage issues, sewer odors and individual issues related to specific services.
