Essex County Community Foundation Launches Impact Essex County, a Community Indicators Website

A new community indicators project for Essex County, MA will help show where the county shines and where it struggles.
Sponsored by the Essex County Community Foundation and developed by CGR, Impact Essex County will analyze and track about 100 data points on topics including the economy, health, and education. This "state of the community" website presents key trends on important issues that affect the region, monitors the direction of each measure over time, and makes raw data available for download and use by anyone.

Cherry Creek Puts Dissolution on the Table

Following in Forestville's wake, the village of Cherry Creek has put the topic of dissolution on the table at a November village board meeting. CGR plans on doing a study of the dissolution of the village. This study will look into everything, from the benefits and repercussion of dissolving, to giving an idea of districts and the duties that the village carries out for its residents.

More Details Released on Winning Bid for 7,000 Acres of Former Seneca Army Depot Land

The application process to bid on the land ended Feb. 29, and a group of both IDA members and Seneca County Board of Supervisors reviewed all 16 submissions. After conducting interviews with the bidders, CGR conducted independent economic impact studies to confirm their financial strength.
