Families in Monroe County Receiving Child Care Subsidies Grow Poorer

As a group, families receiving child care subsidies have become poorer in the last few years, according to analysis of new data by CGR. From 2011 to 2013, the number of families receiving subsidies who had income below the federal poverty threshold increased 19%. This analysis updates a report issued in November 2014 about the availability of child care subsidies in Monroe County. The study was completed with the support of the League of Women Voters of the Rochester Metropolitan Area.

Florida Community Foundation Launches Community Indicators Website

Lists and rankings are all the rage these days, but a new website launched by Gulf Coast Community Foundation aims to measure critical aspects of the region's economy and quality of life over the long term, to help decision-makers monitor trends, identify emerging issues, and plan community investments.
The website was developed by CGR, which has created web-based profiles for several communities across the country.
