The Study
The Village of Painted Post, in cooperation with the Town of Erwin, is evaluating the benefits and costs of pursuing shared services, consolidating one or more functions under a single government, or merging with the Town. A study committee was asked to examine options for the future.

The Study Team
A 9-member committee conducted the study with assistance from the Center for Governmental Research (CGR) a nonprofit, nonpartisan consulting organization with expertise in government management.

Timetable
The year-long study was completed in December 2011. The Committee’s final report will be reviewed by government officials in 2012.
