About the study

• The Study

   

  In October 2010, the Village of Malone applied for and was awarded a NYS Local Government Efficiency (LGE) Grant in response to a petition from citizens that the Village study governance and service options for the community.

  Among options being explored in the Village of Malone Dissolution Study, Plan and Alternatives are dissolution of the Village of Malone and shared service opportunities between the Village and Town of Malone.

• The Committee

   

  The Village of Malone Dissolution Study, Plan and Alternatives is being developed by a Study Committee of Town and Village residents and business owners, with assistance from the Center for Governmental Research (CGR), a nonprofit management consulting organization with expertise in government management, public finance and municipal consolidation processes.
