CGR selected for Urban League of Rochester Strategic Plan

Urban League of Rochester

CGR was selected by the Urban League of Rochester to develop a three-year strategic plan that will identify a unifying vision for its 7 focus areas: Equity and Advocacy, Youth Education and Development, Workforce Development, Family and Children Services, Entrepreneurship focusing on minority and women-owned businesses, Services for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities, and Economic Development.

This plan will reassess the organization’s mission and strategic vision to ensure that it aligns with the current status, and clearly articulate future goals using a diversity, equity, inclusion, and racial justice lens. Serving the community since 1965, the Urban League of Rochester is in a powerful position to address local racial and economic injustice in the wake of COVID-19, the Commission on Racial and Structural Equity and social protests responding to police-inflicted deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Daniel Prude. The Urban League of Rochester’s Equity and Advocacy initiatives provide a path forward for the organization’s future vision of mobilizing community and dismantling systems of inequity and structural racism. The organization’s goal is to implement a multipronged strategy to build a more equitable and inclusive community.
