About CGR

Aging

Since CGR has demonstrated expertise in demographic analysis, human service assessment, strategic planning and evaluation, we are ideally positioned to help communities that are preparing to address future service needs and demands as the population ages.

In 2006, we completed several important projects that will help communities chart their course.

The quality of CGR's work was impressive ….(CGR provided) the technical assistance required for us to convey our mission and priorities to the community at large.

Long Term Care Consortium Strategic Plan CGR helped the 40-member Schenectady County Long Term Care Consortium develop its first-ever strategic plan. CGR analyzed demographic data on the senior population in the county, conducted focus groups with providers and consumers to define major issues facing seniors, and facilitated a collaborative process for the consortium to review data and findings and establish key strategic priorities.

Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities – In many areas, there are retirement communities that develop as the result of “aging in place” by current residents. Forward-thinking landlords and human service agencies respond by incorporating services that residents need in order to be able to continue living in these communities. Rochester has a naturally occurring retirement community in the Ellison Park apartment complex that is served by a partnership program known as Home Base. CGR is helping Home Base determine how best to evaluate the job it is doing in caring for residents.
